Weekend Reading That Isn’t Depressing

Or Weekday Reading If You Have Forgotten What A Weekend Is…

I haven’t been sharing any sustainable fashion news links lately. Honestly, the media is beyond depressing, and I know many of you have actively stopped watching the news until it calms down a bit. I will get back to sharing it very soon, especially as garment workers are struggling more than ever before during this crisis. Check Clean Clothes for up to date information.

Instead, here are a few links to take your mind off the current situation.

The Good Trade: A sustainability blog with a sleek LA vibe. The images are minimalist and calming. While their recommendations are usually US-based, most of their content is useful worldwide.

Shot From The Street: I love the aesthetic of this blog. Lizzy is a fashion blogger and has started giving a nod to sustainability, mainly by not consuming so much. She’s currently at home in north England waiting out the pandemic with her mum. Her honestly is refreshing as is her beautiful footage of the Yorkshire moors.

Mad About The House: This has nothing to do with sustainability or fashion, but I love to browse through the photos of the pretty interiors. Kate is an award-winning writer, so her words are worth reading too!

The Conversation: This one is more news-based but less of the clickbait paranoia that can be found on other websites.

The Sartorialist: For major fashion inspo. Somehow everyone is beautiful and yet quirky. It might give you some ideas to put together your clothes in a new way when you can finally leave the house!
