... when every step is worth the effort ...
After watching the first rays of the sun light up the domes of Kata Tjuta/Mount Olga we travelled to the car park, near the foot of the domes, at the beginning of The Valley of The Winds Walk. This walk wends its way, for 7.4 kilometres, through some of the Kata Tjuta/Mount Olga's spectacular scenery.
At the beginning of the walk, much to our delight and before I could get my camera ready, we saw some camels disappearing into the surrounding bush.

The Valley of The Winds - not long into the walk the path leads into a valley ...

... to some water ... and then ...
... domes soaring on either side ...
... with spectacular contrast of light and shade ...
... approaching a lookout spot and a view of the plains beyond ...
... between the domes, pause at the lookout ... and down onto the plain
*** walk this track ... the real world is so far away ***
