The Night Owl on Adsense

June 27th 2009 17:09

What can i say about Orble? It's a magic place, just what I was searching for. I think I have found my niche. Only four days on here and I was planning on staying for the duration. I have friends here and I do feel like I have a lot to say.

I signed up for Adsense, and heard nothing. I waited a couple of days and resubmitted. Nothing.! I decided I would cool it on the writing here until I heard from them.

I was fooling around on the net yesterday, checking out blog spots and stopped at Google's Blog Spot. Just for fun, I decided to sign in and start a small, personnal blog for practice. I filled everything out, named my blog and was met with the notice: ???????@gmail.com has been banned from Adsense for improper clicking.

I am a little puzzled, since I have never used that email, have never, until four days ago, applied for adsence and never had an adsense account. I spent the day reading and trying to figure out what is going on and what can be done. From what I see, if you've been banned, you're through. I filled out the one appeal I am allowed, but it is almost impossible to fill in the required blanks, when you have absolutely no knowledge of the charges you are trying to dispute.

Have any of the rest of you had to deal with this? And has there ever been a resolution? From everything I have read, once you're banned, it's over.

So, unless things change, I just want everyone to know that I really did enjoy my very short blogging carreer.

hey im a night owl too!

maybe you should create a new email address for blogging and start the whole process over again fresh

theres no big urgency to have the adsense filled in straight away, it will probably take 3 months to get your first $10, and they dont pay out until you hit $100

plus the first 3 months is when google begins crawling your pages and listing them in searches, the older the posts are the more highly they rate and the more likely they are to attract clicks

in the first few weeks you would likely only earn one or two cents

try creating a new gmail and let me know how you go

Thanks Morgon,

But I don't think that will work. The email that must be the first one I signed in with 20 years ago and never used will be kept as my account sighin to Google, no matter how many times I change my Email. I have used the same Domain Email for at least fifteen years and I never use tho gmail, or yahoo or hotmail emails assigned to me. I don't even remember ever seeing that email, but it does have my name in it.

I can sign in under different emails, but the account will still stay under the original one.

I think I'm just finished.

Thanks,
Trish

just log out of your google account and then create a new one . . . like if i came to your house and used your computer i would be able to sign in as a different person . . . just pretend "adsense/blogging Tricia" is a completely different person and sign up again

i cant believe youve had an email address for 20 years! i only got my first computer less than 10 years ago

have you sent Jon a PM or an email about the adsense issue? they may be able to help you sort it out

Thanks Morgan,
I believe I tried that, but I will try again. I have always been a computer fan and I like keeping the same email. I'm probably twice your age. If there is a way to work this out, I will find it.

I think Morgan's right, you should be able to change your email.

I have an account at blogspot.com too and I'll go and check the little boxes and the 'Buzz' for you

Lis.

Thanks Lis
I'm still working on it when I can. I just opened a new email and am not linking them to the same mail account. I will try again soon.

I hope it all works out for you. It's very different over there and I love the templates. I picked "Scribe." Elegant
