Pod of pinkies classed as endangered
Pink dolphins? What will nature think up next...evolution didn't seem to have it's clever hat on the day it dreamed up these pastel sea mammals...
The pink dolphins - known as Matsu's fish - are found in Taiwan. New research from a group of biologists in Canada has shown that they are genetically distinct to other dolphins - this is good news for the pink-one's - they are now classed as endangered by the IUCN in their own right; their status will be updated from 'data-deficient' on October 6th.
There are thought to be less than 100 of these rare marine mammals. For more info - see the blog : your/]Really Long Link text goes here[/LINK]
