... and some trees enhance the scenery ...
The city of Cambridge is famous for being a university town as it's the home of the famous University of Cambridge. This academic city is also the home of many beautiful trees and gardens.
While at King's College a visit to the chapel is a must. I was not prepared for its stunning beauty and special atmosphere. Unfortunately the famous Chapel Choir was not singing on the days we were there.
The Capel was begun in 1446 and was built over 100years, in three stages. Its ceiling, which is the largest fan vault ceiling in the world, is an example of late Gothic Architecture. The Chapel also has some of the finest medieval stained glass windows.

Strolling along the path by the Cambridge Canal is magic.
Strolling around Cambridge rewards with many eye catching surprises.
Of course a tour of Cambridge is not complete without a visit to some of the University Colleges. King's College is one of the best known Colleges of the University of Cambridge. It was founded in the early 1440's by King Henry VI.

The Chapel is still used as a place of worship.
